Owned and operated by Flagler College, Lewis Auditorium provides seating for up to 789.

The facility serves as a creative space for events sponsored by Flagler College and is available to rent for theatre productions and special events. In addition to plays, performances, and lectures presented by the students, faculty, and guests, Lewis Auditorium is the preferred venue for the annual Nutcracker Ballet, EMMA Concerts, and the St. Augustine Film Festival.

The auditorium is named for Lawrence Lewis, Henry Flagler's grandnephew. He grew up in St. Augustine and served in WWII, fighting in Italy. Afterward, he built hotels and later had management roles at Flagler Systems, a hotel company that included the then Ponce de Leon Hotel in St. Augustine. Lewis authorized the sale of the hotel to an educational institution and helped fund and oversee the renovation as it became Flagler College
