Lightner Museum presents another in their "Lightner Local" series, with the art of Mike Taylor, beginning on Friday, May 3, and continuing to August 4, 2023.

On First Friday, May 3, the Lightner invites the public to enter through the Radzinski Garden at the rear of the museum, for a special First Friday exhibit opening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

The exhibit, First of the Last Beach Days, includes works in watercolors and graphite and features abstract figures of beachgoers against backgrounds that are both chaotic patterns and familiar items and themes. Mike's work shows the interplay of the coastline, tides, rhythm, chaos, storms, and sea-level rise, and the impact these have on our beach lives.

Admission: $19.00 for adults; $16.00 for college students, seniors, and military; $12.00 for youth ages 12-17; free for children 11 and under.

When: The exhibit opens on May 3 with a free reception from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This event is open to the public and entry is through the Radzinski Garden at the rear of the Lightner Museum.

The exhibit runs daily from May 4 through August 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Normal fees apply; enter through the lobby.

Where: The Lightner Museum, 75 King St., St. Augustine, Florida 32084.

The Museum is generally open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 7 days a week. They are closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
