  • The Fly By Café is located, appropriately, at the St. Augustine regional airport. They offer breakfast and lunch, with a varied menu that includes deli sandwiches, burgers, fish and shrimp baskets, chicken wings, homemade soup and a well-stocked salad bar, with fruit, yogurt and desserts.

    The Fly By Café is a local favorite and a great place to watch planes take off and land, even for guests not arriving by air. It's also a good spot to spend game day, with beer specials and plasma big-screen TVs. They offer outdoor seating as well.

    Got dropped off a few hours early for a morning flight and dropped in the cafe for some grub. Cute atmosphere, Has a Florida feel and the planes hanging from the ceiling are quite cool. Was greeted immediately and the man working quickly whipped me up a cup of coffee and some breakfast. Food was pleasant and he kept the conversation going. I might travel in again when not flying, just to sit and watch the planes take off. A cute spot.

    Tried to take the kids to see the planes but never got any service. Set on the deck menus were dropped off but that was it. Never even took or drink order or said anything when we left and the kids were crying because they wanted to keep watching the planes. Could have such a great place but they seem to just want to serve the regulars.

    The team a Fly by cafe is outstanding. - They are very attentive, and have really taken an interest in providing wonderful food with a community atmosphere. I have been there now on four occasions and have been very impressed with the quality of the food. Even when I do not have to be at the airport, its my new favorite place to eat in St. Augustine. Skip the tourist traps, - and head to the airport. It's not the Chart House. but ':Cheer's' with wings.

    Only show in town at the airport-they know it. Service is abysmal.Food is mediocre. Too bad for such a prime location. Professional pilot embarassed after bringing family, friends, and clients. Multiple visits yielded same dissatisfaction--and beware...'dining' on the deck while watching planes take off and land comes with disgruntled,untimely service. Enjoy the ambiance on the deck, while you sweat it out with empty drinks and no ketchup. You will be made to feel badly for getting up, going inside, and asking for service-even when the place is empty. Basic menu items take entirely too long and apealling menu items are frequently 'out' even when place is empty. Blank, uninviting, perhaps even hostile stares from the locals and servers make for a dissatisfying experience. What a shame, considering the location. Not sure about the 'catering' aspect of the business, but I know I dont intend to go down that road, given my on-scene experiences. You will likely leave disappointed.
