Join just one or all five of this series of free fishing clinics to learn the basics of Florida fishing.

  • The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department offers a series of five free clinics that will explore the basics about fishing in Florida. Florida Fishing 101 covers everything from fishing regulations to what bait to use and how to tie knots in fishing line. The clinics will take place on select Wednesdays in April and May: April 4 & 18, May 2, 16, and 30, 2018.

    The workshops will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on each of the above Wednesdays. Participants are free to attend just one or the whole series of clinics, which will be held at the Usina Boat Ramp on Vilano Beach.

    Guests are asked to bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and a water bottle, as well as a fishing rod and reel and fishing line.
