Improv Comedy: 3 Blind Dates

The Limelight Theatre presents "3 Blind Dates: An Unscripted Romantic Comedy" on Sunday, June 11 13, 2017, at 7:00 p.m.

The play follows three single ladies through a hilarious round of speed dating and then through the dates that result. The scenario is set up and loosely directed by improvisational theater professional Amy Angelilli, and the twist is that it's the audience who chooses which speed dating candidate goes on the subsequent date. This is improv comedy at its best, with the audience participating every step of the way.

Cocktails are served at 6:00 p.m. in the Limelight Theatre's lounge, giving the audience a chance to mingle with the performers and share their dating stories with them. The show begins at 6:30 p.m.

"3 Blind Dates" won Best Improv Form in the 2015 Colorado Improv Awards and made its Florida debut on Valentine's Day 2016 to a standing-room-only audience. Created by Amy Angelilli, it is a production of The Adventure Project and Mad Cowford Improv Comedy.

Amy Angelilli is a graduate of Philadelphia's ComedySportz School of Improvisation and Denver's Bovine Metropolis Theater School of Improvisation. She has performed at improv festivals in Colorado and Florida and is the Chief Adventure Officer of The Adventure Project, which offers adult summer camps, spiritual centers, yoga communities, and business retreats.
