Nature lovers can celebrate National Public Lands day with several programs at Anastasia State Park and Fort Mose.

In honor of National Public Lands Day on September 28, 2019, Anastasia State Park will host a cleanup event called "Take Back Our Woods" beginning at 9:00 a.m. The event combines a hike through the park's wooded areas and serving the community by helping to remove trash and keep our natural areas beautiful and safe.

Volunteers may bring their own gloves or 5-gallon buckets if they have them. Otherwise, rubber gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please remember to wear protection against the heat and bring sunscreen, bug spray, and water.

Admission: This event is free with regular admission to the park: $8.00 per vehicle (limit 8 people), $4.00 per single-occupant vehicle, and $2.00 for pedestrians, bicyclists, and extra passengers. Please register here.

When: From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

Where: Anastasia State Park is located at 1340 A1A in St. Augustine, FL 32080. Fort Mose is just 10 minutes away, at 15 Fort Mose Trail in St. Augustine 32084.
