  • The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents soulful folk trio The Wood Brothers live in concert on Wednesday, December 1, 2021

The Wood Brothers are best known for their performances at Levon Helm's legendary Midnight Ramble. Guitarist Oliver Wood, bassist Chris Wood, and drummer Jano Rix developed a strong friendship with Helm and were frequent special guests at his famed Woodstock barn. The Wood Brothers returned to the barn in August of 2016 for their first Ramble just after Helm's passing. That performance is captured on their new album, Live at the Barn.

Brothers Oliver and Chris Wood each had well-establish music careers before 2006, when they released their first album, Ways Not to Lose. Since then, they've produce 6 other studio albums and four live albums. Their 2018 studio album, One Drop of Truth, hit #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and earned a GRAMMY nomination for "Best Americana Album."

This band of three, Chris Wood on vocals and bass, Oliver Wood on vocals and guitar, and Jano Rix on drums, vocals, and the shuitar, have all studied and practiced their craft and played with other bands and various genres. With the Wood Brothers, it's clear they've found a creative niche that works.
