R&B

R&B, short for rhythm & blues, is a musical genre first recognized in the 1940s as a mix of jazz and blues performed by African American artists. The style has strong influences on rock and roll, soul, and funk, as well as disco and pop. R&B is characterized by its structure and character more than the specific instruments utilized.
