John Winters

A performer since the 60s, Johns Winters has been musically inclined since his teenage years in the Northeast.

Over the years, John Winters has established himself as a singer, musician, and songwriter. In his earlier years, John consistently performed solo and as a part of a couple rock bands. After 1989, he moved to St. Augustine and plunged into the music scene down in Northeast Florida, and he has been playing in the area ever since. In the 70s, John Winters opened for the likes of James Taylor, Jonathan Edwards, and Aztec Two Step. Around the same time, he was traveling the Northeast of the United States with a couple different rock bands, and in the 80s he played at clubs and toured with acoustic duo and trio, Beat Feat, and Carter and Winters, which earned him several awards in American Songwriting Festival competitions. Since moving to St. Augustine, he has performed three times at the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival, and has been performing solo and as part of other bands around town.
