Kimberly Underwood

Kimberly Underwood is St. Augustine’s dearest sweetheart, incorporating pop, folk, rock, rhythm and blues, and soul into her toe-tapping live performances and immensely original body of work.

Sweet as honey, cool and crisp, St. Augustine, Florida's Kimberly Underwood, formerly Kim Brown, is an enchanting performer combining pop, rock, soul, folk, and rhythm and blues with her original music as well as her cover song selections. As daring and as darling as they come, Kimberly is a small-town girl with a big-city point of view. Her poignant songwriting abilities continue to blossom into grandiose concepts of abstract love and haunting inner-turmoil, bringing to light Kimberly's ability to fuse thought-provoking poetry into her lyrical content. Her sound is a blend of influences that span from present day to decades past and her vocal arrangements and melodic compositions mirror those of the iconic Judy Collins. Her on-stage presence ranges from charming and peaceful to fearless and bold depending on the feel of the song.

Originally from the tiny town of Hobe Sound, Florida, Kimberly began embarking on her musical quest early in life, learning piano at age 8, guitar at 14, and writing her first song at age 11. Two decades later she has released her first original record and her first single, Crystal Ball, won Narrow Magazine's 2016 Best Song of the Year. Kimberly's ability to intellectualize life experiences onto a masterful musical canvas creates an allure that tends to come with a pinch of magic and an overall feeling of natural connection. Her second single, Ghosts, showcases Kimberly's knack for storytelling as well as her vibrant vocal range, highlighting experiences of lovers and lives long gone. On songwriting and performing Kimberly says, "All I want to do is tap the toe of the listener as well as connect with the inner soul."
