North of Downtown

North of Downtown St. Augustine, guests will find a less dense distribution of places, but the region is important nonetheless. The St. Johns County offices are located north of town, as is the Northeast Regional Airport. Visitors who are arriving by car will also find hotels north of St. Augustine with rates that are a bit cheaper than staying in the city center.

Although there aren't a plethora of attractions in this region, there are lots of great places to shop. Antique shops north of town have unique finds. Restaurants that are loved by locals serve vacation-goers an authentic dining experience. Staying north of town also provides easy access to I-95 and US1 if you're hoping to visit friends or family up in Jacksonville, or you're just interested in checking out the River City.
