Hamblen House is a restaurant and bar associated with the American Legion Post 37. The restaurant features indoor seating and outdoor dining with beautiful views of the Bridge of Lions and the bayfront. It was originally the home of Charles F. Hamblen, first built in 1886. In 2017, Hamblen House opened after a 2 year renovation project. Proceeds support the American Legion Post 37 programs, local veterans and their families.
The menu is a mix of main dinner entrees, lunch dishes, and desserts. Hand-held eats include sandwiches, burgers, and quesadillas. Fresh salads include Cobb Salad, Spinach Berry Salad, Blackened Chicken Ceasar, and more. Main dishes feature Fish & Chips, Jacks' Shrimp & Grits, Shrimp Scampi, Hand Cut Filet Mignon Cabernet Demi Glaze, and other delicious entrees.
Along with a full menu, Hamblen House has a full bar serving beer, wine, and spirits.
Hamblen House is located near the flag pole across the street from the Bridge of Lions.
