St. Augustine Wild Reserve

The St. Augustine Wild Reserve provides visitors with a rare opportunity to see majestic wild animals. This facility houses more than 50 large mammals ranging from tigers, lions, and leopards to bears, hyenas, ligers, and wolves.

Since 1995, St. Augustine Wild Reserve has provided a safe home for abused or unwanted exotic animals, providing a forever home for these animals. The Wild Reserve does not breed animals, instead, they work to make sure that unwanted wild and exotic animals have an appropriate place to live for the rest of their lives.

St. Augustine Wild Animal Reserve offers tours to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.  Tours are by appointment only and last approximately 90 minutes. Tours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays are at 2:00 p.m. and Saturday has an additional tour at 11:00 am. The cost is $35.00. On Fridays they offer a VIP tour for only 25 people, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The VIP tour on Fridays is $60.00.

Each tour is given by a wildlife professional and includes both information about the species and how each animal came to the reserve. Visitors are within 5 - 10 feet of the wildlife, who are in a secure enclosures. Because the enclosures do not allow for clear photos, visitors are not allowed to use cameras of any kind while at the reserve. Visitors may purchase a flash drive with nearly 200 photos for $10.00.

The tour is led on foot through the coquina paths, though electric carts are available for those who cannot easily walk long distances. Tours are conducted rain or shine.
