Memorial Presbyterian Church
A photo of the interior of the Memorial Presbyterian Church
The Memorial Presbyterian Church was built by Henry Flagler in honor of his daughter Jennie Louise Benedict, who died in 1889 from complications in childbirth. This Venetian Renaissance Revival style building was constructed by Carrere and Hastings, the same architects who built Flagler's Ponce de Leon Hotel. It was built in less than one year, the copper dome completed while being transported across the Atlantic. This church is open for tours on a daily basis.
