Arts & Culture

Arts and culture come alive in the Ancient City.

St. Augustine's vibrant art scene includes more than 50 art galleries, two theaters, several dance schools, a community orchestra, a city band, choral groups, an opera company, and locally-produced arts and music festivals. Performers from all over the world come to St. Augustine, while local, national, and international artists fill the art gallery walls, and talented regional actors perform at the community theaters and improv studio.

St. Augustine locals also celebrate the city's rich cultural heritage, and you can witness and participate in events year-round, including live reenactments, living history interpretations, celebratory parades, and food demonstrations. See the Historical Events listings for the reenactments and living history events.
