Chimes
Four experienced musicians from Gainesville formed a group to create a new sound.
The music from this four-some is synth-driven and melodic with a bit of post-punk, a touch of pop, and some of dark wave's introspection. Formed by keyboard artist Kyle Fick, and singer/guitarist Mike Magarelli in 2019, the band now includes singer and bassist Matt Brink and Warren Oaks on drums.
These Gainesville musicians are known through their past work in several other bands: Against Me!, Averkiou, and Sunshine State.
Chimes released their debut album, Pile of Parts, in 2025.
