Davis and the Loose Cannons
Davis Loose is a young singer and songwriter from St. Augustine, Florida, who put together his first band: Davis and the Loose Cannons while still in high school. Starting playing, writing and singing in the 6th grade, Davis is inspired by the Classic Country Music, of Merle Haggard, Townes Van Zandt, Marty Stuart, Willie Nelson, and Buck Owens. Their sound comes through on Davis's own songs, and Davis says, "We are a true boot-scootin', toe-tappin', honky-tonkin' band." The group is currently working on an album and Davis is thrilled that the liner notes are written by Marty Stuart.
Davis and the Loose Cannons are committed to bringing back country music "the way it's supposed to be played." Known as a traditional country and honky tonk band, Davis and the Loose Cannons delight their audiences with original songs as well as covers. One wonders how, at age 17, Davis channels the lives of his heroes in his lyrics about smoky ol' honky-tonks, trains, mama, love, drinking, and heartache.
