Emily Mikus
Writing songs, singing, and playing guitar.
Raised in a small town north of Jacksonville, Emily Mikus learned a love of music from her dad, Tony Mikus of the Jacksonville band Big Engine. She began studying music in earnest in high school, moving to Jacksonville to study at the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and then to earn a music business degree at Jacksonville University.
A multi-instrumentalist, Mikus is proficient in classical and jazz saxophone, is a singer and songwriter, and plays the guitar. She is now focused on building a career as a singer and songwriter, and most often can be seen performing as a solo act in Northeast Florida. She has released three singles.
