Eric Carter began playing the guitar when he was two, performed in his first concert when he was 13, and has played solo, led bands, and performed with some of the greats.

Originally from southern Florida, Carter has called Jacksonville home for many years, performing most often there and venturing to St. Augustine for special events.

Carter has shared the stage with Al Green, Paul Jackson, Jr., and George Benson. He is steeped in the blues and clearly at home there, skillfully drawing songs out with instrumental solos to the delight of his audience. That doesn't mean he can't and won't pay homage to modern jazz, and he easily moves between old-style blues and the current sounds.

Whether he's playing a solo gig or performing with the Eric Carter Band, Carter presents a good blues and jazz night for his audiences.
