Gordie Sampson

Gordie Sampson is a Grammy Award-winning Canadian songwriter, producer, recording artist, and mentor, whose work has helped shape modern country music. Originally from Big Pond, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and based in Nashville, Tennessee, he has built an internationally respected career writing songs recorded by many of the genre's biggest stars. 

Sampson is best known as a co-writer of Carrie Underwood's breakthrough hit "Jesus, Take the Wheel," which earned a Grammy Award for Best Country Song. His songwriting credits also include recordings by Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert, Bon Jovi, LeAnn Rimes, Florida Georgia Line, and numerous other acclaimed artists.
