Helvis Rangel
A singer/songwriter specializing in Latin music of many genres.
Now a resident of Jacksonville, Venezuelan native Helvis Rangel has written songs and performed for more than 25 years, creating a following in his native country.
He has produced several popular singles, including "Contingo" (With You) and "Me Gusta" (I Like). He specializes in Latin American music, and his performances will pull the audience onto the dance floor to dance the salsa (Cuba and Puerto Rico), merengue (Dominican Republic), bachata (Dominican Republic), and boleros (Cuba).
Rangel has performed in Aruba and Mexico, as well as Venezuela and Jacksonville. In Jacksonville, he has filled venues with locals who enjoy listening to an excellent singer while dancing to their favorite beat—whether that beat is the merengue, salsa, or bachata.
