Jesse Sawyer grew up in Middleburg, Florida, in Clay County, gaining an appreciation for songs that told stories. Now, a prolific songwriter, Sawyer often plays songs by musicians who were prominent long before he was born, including Bob Dylan and Joseph Scott.

A songwriter and singer, Sawyer accompanies himself on his guitar, adding harmonica solos to his performance. On stage, he's loose, relaxed, and intent on offering music that tells his story with wit and honesty. Sawyer has appeared on the Gamble Rogers Youth Stage and performed at several venues in Jacksonville.
