John Fowler
A creative guy with a guitar on a sailboat, the Po Boy Rascal becomes a hit in local venues.
John Fowler is a musician who rolls with whatever is going on at the time. Entertaining crowds since the age of four in his small hometown theater, he then graced his family with his prowess on drums at only 14. Four years later, he got a new guitar, and by age 23 was hosting open mics in his corner of Mississippi.
Relocating to Perdido Key in the Florida panhandle in 2010 was a turning point in his career. Fowler was introduced to the world of songwriting as he tested the market, and built a recording studio to catalog local writers' songs for pitching and demos. Well known for his skill on the soundboard at the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, he was also an accomplished performer in the Perdido Key area. In 2023, he produced Legends of Perdido Key, and again relocated, this time across the state to St. Augustine.
Fowler is well recognized for his style, which he claims to be "somewhere between Johnny Cash and Snoop Dogg." Fowler's career is always morphing into whatever it's gonna be next. His show includes originals and covers, the familiar and the entertaining, as Fowler joins the local camaraderie of musicians, always supporting their own.
