The Late Ones

The sounds of The Late Ones echo an imagined jam with John Lennon and Tupac and Bob Marley, when Jimi Hendrix dropped in.

The Late Ones is a fusion of family — two brothers, Tui and Tau Avei, and a cousin Josh Brunson, all from Oahu, Hawaii. Their vibe is rooted in their Samoan culture, along with their African American Heritage, which brings the joy of the islands to the self awareness reflected in the influence of the music revolutionaries who went before them.

The reggae background that steeps the music they produce is the foundation of their sound, with an immersion in the conscious music of their mentors. Their lyrics and beautiful harmonies blend with their reflections on social injustice and soul-searching messages and goals.
