Mac McAnally is known as a singer/songwriter, though he feels his guitar skills are stronger than his singing. There is no debate about his musicianship as he has won the Musician of the Year from the Country Music Association an impressive (and current) total of 10 times.
As a songwriter, Mac says he just writes "whatever floats through my head." What goes through his head is pure gold, including songs made famous by Kenny Chesney, "Back Where I Come From;" Sawyer Brown, "All These Years;" and Alabama, "Old Flame."
