Michael Elias

Mike Elias can be seen everywhere someone is having a folk/Americana jam and is a member of several official and unofficial bands. For years, he has been a fixture with the Dunehoppers, playing mandolin and adding his clear voice for lead or harmony.

While Elias performs in several groups that play old songs, Americana, and roots music, he's also a prolific songwriter and has been for more than 50 years. Like his performances, Elias has written songs in a variety of musical genres, reflecting the different groups he's played with through the years: country, folk, bluegrass, blues, swing, and a bit of rock. His songs can be humorous, poignant, or contain a pointed message, and his performances always include mandolin and guitar skills, a fine voice, and an appreciation for his fellow musicians.
