Michael Reno Harrell

Michael Reno Harrell — artist, musician, and storyteller describes himself as someone who "makes up stories and spin yarns."

Artist, musician, songwriter — Michael Reno Harrell added storyteller to his impressive resume a couple or more decades ago. As he has said, I got "paid to sing and draw pictures. Then … I discovered that there were people who made a living telling stories and I decided to jump in feet first."

In his youth, Michael discovered the folk music scene in the 60's, traded his drum kit for a used guitar, and a few years later, joined a folk group called the Green Mountain Trio. That group later became a bluegrass band after the addition of a bass player. A few years after that, he went out on his own to play his original songs and discovered that if he took the time to tell the audience the story behind his songs, they were more willing to listen to them.

Singer, songwriter, musician, and storyteller, Michael Reno Harrell describes himself as someone who "makes Up Songs and Spins Yarns." He is excellent at both.
