Sparrow Smith (Kathi Witkowski)

Sparrow Smith (Kathi Witkowski), singer, songwriter, guitarist, and bassist,  left her home state of Florida years ago and developed a music career in Maryland. There, she founded and performed in several bands, including Scarlet O, an all-woman punk-and-rock band, and Ros Wilting. With Ros Wilting, she won the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest in the rock/alternative category for a song she co-wrote.

Several years and a few life changes later, Smith returned to her native Florida to focus on writing and performing acoustically. She has since released an EP, Sparrow Smith Six Pack, in 2024, and an album, Good Enough, in March of 2026. Her songs are personal and honest, sometimes punctuated by a bit of humor, and frequently enhanced by wordplay and strong imagery. 

While she does play select covers, Smith prefers to perform in venues that welcome songwriters and in front of audiences who come to listen.
