Top Shelf Trio
Based in Tallahassee, Top Shelf Trio is a touring bluegrass outfit that delivers an array of original and cover songs.
When it comes to bluegrass music, Top Shelf Trio delivers performances to please even the most discerning of listeners. This band rightfully prides themselves on their high-grade instrumentations — and any audience member need only listen a while to understand why. Though they are based in Florida's Big Bend, Top Shelf Trio frequently tours throughout the state of Florida. All three members of the band contribute vocals to the trio's sophisticated selection of songs. As for the members of Top Shelf Trio, Carrie Carlton is the mandolinist, Patrick Carlton plays guitar, and Pete Knowlton plays the contrabass. Whether it's boot-stomping barn burners or laid back love songs, this three-piece bluegrass outfit is prepared to please.
While the Top Shelf Trio mostly plays covers of their favorite bluegrass songs, they do currently have one original single out. Their single, entitled "Miccosukee Road," celebrates the unfiltered beauty of Tennessee and the somber sight of the crossroads. When they play live shows, Top Shelf Trio treats their audience to covers of familiar songs like "My Window Faces the South," "Early Morning Rain," and more.
