Will Moseley
Small-town Georgia singer touts American Idol finals, with soulful country charm.
Will Moseley is a true small-town southern country boy with a big voice and an even bigger heart. Hailing from Hazlehurst, Georgia, Moseley loves spending his days outdoors, soaking up life's simple pleasures. When a few of his Instagram and TikTok videos caught the eye of American Idol producers, he was surprised, but curious. At first, he thought, “These folks don’t have anything for me,” but with some encouragement from his supportive friends, he decided to take the next step. After a series of Zoom calls and a killer in-person audition in Leesburg, Georgia, Moseley wowed Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan, earning that coveted Golden Ticket and making it to the finals. He finished as the Season 22 runner-up, and his journey had only just begun.
Since Idol, Moseley’s been busy dropping singles that blend nostalgia with his signature southern charm. He’s taken his talents on the road, performing in venues up to 2,500 seats, sharing stages with country stars like Zac Brown Band, Clint Black, Riley Green, and Ella Langley. One of his biggest moments was opening for Zac Brown at a big New Year’s Eve show in Atlanta, his first arena gig.
Here’s the twist: Moseley didn’t pick up a guitar until he was 19, and he only started seriously writing songs during the pandemic, after transferring from Maryville College to Georgia Southern (where he also played Division III football). After suffering some serious concussions, music became his safe space, his way to cope, and to focus. Now, he’s living his dream, showing the world that with a little grit and a lot of heart, you can turn a small-town dream into a big-stage reality. When he's not on stage, you’ll find him representing his hometown with pride, grateful for the support that helped him get this far, and excited to keep making music that everyone can relate to.
