Youth Ambulance
A young punk duo, still in middle school, playing original songs.
Vera Podlesnik, singer, songwriter, and guitarist, and Hudson Martin, drummer, perform Podlesnik's original songs in venues around Gainesville. Still in middle school in 2026, their respective parents introduced each of them to punk rock when they were very young.
Podlesnik's dad would play his favorite bands during breakfast, and she became enamored of music and punk rock. She has taken music lessons and attended a band camp, and writes edgy songs with a message, saying that punk lets musicians speak out on tough topics.
Podlesnik asked Martin to join her to create the duo, and in October of 2025, they performed in public for the first time. Martin's dad not only likes punk music, he plays the drums in two Central Florida punk bands. Youth Ambulance shared the stage with those bands early in 2026.
