Old City Ghosts, the local operation of US Ghost Adventures, offers guided haunted tours of historic downtown St. Augustine. Their descriptions of St. Augustine's history include hauntings, tales of loss or lost love, and stories about spirits who simply don't want to leave America's Oldest City.
In addition to spooky fun, Old City Ghosts offers historical insight throughout the tour, providing a unique way to learn about St. Augustine and her history.
Tours
- Phantom Pirates & Poltergeists: This tour through the most haunted spots in downtown St. Augustine relates the historic nature of the sites and tales of actual events. The experienced guide and history expert relates the stories of those who haunt St. Augustine. This one-mile guided walk starts at the obelisk monument in the Plaza de la Constitución.
- Booze and Boos Haunted Pub Crawl: Held in the dark of night, this tour focuses on the drinking hotspots that are also on the list of haunted hotspots. Liquid courage may be consumed. The tour may last up to two hours as the group meanders from bar to bar, while the guide relates stories of hauntings and history. This tour begins at the Grace United Methodist Church, 8 Carrera Street.
- Ultimate Dead of Night Haunted Ghost Tour: Walk in the dead of night to dig deeper into some of the city's stories of ghost encounters. A bonus extended tour, featuring more bone-chilling stories, is available at an additional cost. This tour starts at the Old City Gate at 2 St. George Street.
- World of Pirates Experience: St. Augustine's history features pirates and privateers who sailed under French, British, and Confederate pirate flags. This walking tour shares all the secrets of St. Augustine's pirates. This tour begins at Potter's Wax Museum, 31 Orange Street.
Tour Details
- The standard tour takes about 60 minutes, covers about one mile, and includes eight stops.
- The extended tour lasts about 90 minutes, covers one-and-a-half miles, and includes 12 stops.
- Guests are asked to arrive 10 minutes early for all tours. (And please allow for time to find parking.)
- Tours are held rain or shine. Old City Ghosts will contact guests if the tour is cancelled.
- Private tours for groups of 30 or more are available, including age-appropriate tours for school groups.
