Kilwins Ice Cream Run, 2026

The Kilwins 5K Ice Cream Race started in 2013 as a way to give back to the community. Each year, this race hosts runners of all ages at Beachwalk, where they enjoy the beautiful location, unlimited servings of Kilwins Ice Cream, and raise funds for local organizations.

This race includes a 5K, a 1-mile run, and a 25-yard dash for the kids. Walkers and runners are welcome for all races. The 5K starts and ends at Kilwins, with participants running on the wide Beachwalk sidewalk in a counterclockwise loop. After the race, everyone wearing their race bib is invited to enjoy a bowl of Kilwins Ice Cream.

Beneficiary

In 2026, the race benefits Pie in the Sky Community Alliance, Livestrong at the YMCA, Mercy Support Services, and several PTA athletic programs at local schools.

Event Details

Registration: The 5K is $39.44, including fees; the 1-mile race is $28.74, and the 25-yard dash is $12.69. The cost goes up as the event nears. Register online at Race Roster. All registered participants receive a tank top and a free bowl of Kilwins Ice Cream after the race. (You must wear your bib to receive ice cream.) Everyone who finishes their race receives a medal.

When: Saturday, July 18, 2026

• The 5K starts at 7:30 a.m.
• The 1-mile race starts at 8:45 a.m.
• The 25-yard dash starts at 9:00 a.m.

Packet Pickup:

• Pick up packets on Thursday, July 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday, July 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 1st Place Sports locations in Jacksonville and Jax Beach. 
• Pick up packets on race day at the area in front of Kilwins beginning at 6:00 a.m.

Race Timing and Scoring: This is a chip-timed race with bibs.

Awards: The top male and female overall receive Kilwins Ice Cream for one year. The second and third-place overall winners receive Kilwins gift cards. First place in each age group receives an ice cream scooper.
