Blues

Finding its roots in African American southern culture, blues began as spirituals and work chants. Blues music took shape with its signature melancholy twelve-bar chords, chord progressions, and soulful vocals. "The Blues," as they're often called, typically utilize instruments such as the harmonica, piano, guitar, and bass.
