Celtic Conundrum
This U.S. band performs originals that blend Celtic and Americana sounds and styles.
Celtic Conundrum, a Celtic band from the U.S. South, is known for their harmonies, original songs, and musicianship. Founded in 2016 by Gene Martinelli, Celtic Conundrum has performed across the U.S. and Ireland, and has produced four studio albums, most recently Lore in 2024.
Martinelli, guitarist, singer, songwriter, and managing member of Celtic Conundrum, has performed extensively with other bands and as a solo act. He began writing Celtic songs before founding the band, merging his love of Celtic history and folklore themes with Americana and folk traditions. In the band, Martinelli sings lead and harmony vocals and plays the guitar.
Brian Seachrist, a multi-instrumentalist and singer from Florida, grew up in a musical family and absorbed the variety of music styles passed down by his parents and grandparents. Seachrist brings a fun vibe and dynamic rhythm to Celtic Conundrum, using his music skills to provide lead and harmony vocals and percussion.
Pamela Jo Hatley was raised in North Alabama, where she grew up with bluegrass, gospel, old-time, and country music. She began singing at age five, and quickly moved on to master instruments, including guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass guitar, and piano. She has won vocal and banjo awards at the Florida Old Time Music Competition, is a music instructor, and teaches banjo workshops. With Celtic Conundrum, Hatley plays banjo and sings lead and harmony.
So far in 2026, Celtic Conundrum has booked gigs in Florida, throughout the Southeast, and in Scotland.
