Eshtemoh “Esh” Morgan and Chris “Schief” Schiefelbein grew up in vastly different parts of the United States. Esh comes from Brooklyn, where his fathers and uncles started the reggae band Morgan Heritage. Schief is a midwesterner who started his music career at a young age and toured as a guitar tech for Prince.
Despite their distinct backgrounds, these two young men have come together in perfect harmony as the musical duo Esh x Schief. They’re a hit at outdoor venues, sports bars, and concert halls across Florida.
Immediate Chemistry
The pair met while they were both students at Stetson University, where a mutual appreciation for each other’s talent and drive blossomed from the very start.
Their original song, “Ruby,” was composed the very first time Eshtemoh and Chris sat down to play music together. It’s a bubbly love song about someone whose name you just can’t get out of your head. From that day forward, Esh x Schief has been composing and performing as an inseparable team. Their genre? Any one that strikes them! This acoustic pair flows easily from reggae to ballads, and back again.
