Jig to a Milestone

A talented duo playing "eclectic folk": a bit of Celtic, and a bit of folk, and a bit of rock with a Celtic flair.

Jason Catron first played music when he picked up a penny whistle during an historical re-enactment. From there, he moved on to more modern instruments and music before coming back full circle to his musical roots.

Scott West, also grew up playing traditional instruments in the school band, and actually majored in Performance Bassoon at the University of Florida. He learned guitar and became interested in Celtic and American Folk music.

Since 2016, Jason and Scott have been performing together as Jig to a Milestone, playing in bars, pubs, and festivals and performing their own unique mix of Celtic, Folk, Sea Shanties, Country and Bluegrass, Americana, and Musical Comedy. Jason performs on vocals, guitar, whistle, bouzouki, and tenor banjo; Scott performs on vocals guitar and bodhran. Both Jason and Scott have been known to tell a few bad jokes during their sets.
