Kibbs & Co. / The Bels
The Bels/Kibbs & Co. represent the concept of intermingled alliances.
First, let's define intermingled alliances: the varied and inevitable intermixing of musicians.
The Bels/Kibbs & Co. is one of those alliances. When Kibbs plays as a solo artist, it's a clean, rich sound on the guitar, with what he calls "a decent range." If he plays with Zach Daegling and Sammy Andress, they are Kibbs & Company, which might also include volunteers or other musicians. Add Sophia Massebeau, and it becomes The Bels. Kibbs is the common thread throughout.
Beginning as a late teenager with a guitar, Kibbs quickly became a finger-style guitar phenomenon, while maintaining an enigmatic public persona. Beautifully covering Jim Croce and James Taylor classics, he says that he can pick up a song in about a day. Covering the 60's counter culture folk, the 60's and 70's era rock, and veering into classic country, the combination of Kibbs' and Massebeau's vocals has a clear and smooth sound.
Kibbs & Co. also provides a variety of instruction, from vocals to fingerstyle guitar, banjo, mandolin, and bass.
