Thomas Allain and his Highly Qualified Band - Next Showing
Thomas Allain's music is reminiscent of old-school rock and roll and has close ties to some of today's modern songwriters, resulting in a sound described as "equal parts intimate and rockin'."
From Gainesville, Allain fronted the band Late Night Losers and later toured as a member of Cat Ridgeway & The Tourists. Now, he tours under his own name, solo, or with the musicians he calls his "Highly Qualified Band."
Allain's debut album "Words I've Learned to Say" came out in 2025. Recorded at Ivy Manor Studios in Muscle Shoals, the album featured the single "Footprints in the Stone," co-written by another Gainesville musician, Jordan Burchel.
Allain defines his music as "sentimental indie folk rock," and his songs touch diverse listeners, bridging the generational gap with a strong voice, excellent musicianship, and resonant lyrics.
