The building on Hastings Main Street echoes the spirit of a bygone era. Originally constructed in 1927 as the Hastings Motor Company, it quickly became a fixture in town. In 1929, the building reopened as Stanton Motors, a proud Ford dealership led by Christopher Charles Stanton Sr. For more than half a century, Stanton Motors remained a family-run business, serving as a pillar of the community and providing reliable automotive services to locals.

The recent restoration has preserved the structure's historical essence while breathing new life into its enduring presence on Main Street. The St. Johns County Cultural Resource Review Board has designated the building as a "significant cultural resource," underscoring its importance in Hastings’ commercial development at the turn of the century.

Now beautifully restored, the building stands as a hub for local events in Hastings called The Venue—available for weddings, birthday celebrations, reunions, concerts, corporate events, and local markets.
