Chris Mondak, hailed as one of the best young jazz bassists, performs with two bands at Sarbez beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Mondak will open the evening with his jazz combo, the Chris Mondak Band. CC2Craazy is the main act in this two-band performance. In addition to Chris Mondak, who writes songs, sings, and plays bass for the group, the band consists of Joe Folan on guitar, Gabe Feldman on keyboards, Frank Scotch also on guitar, and Reed Stewart on drums. The band has been described as fun, friendly, and fairly frenzied.

Now from Nashville, Mondak earned his Bachelor's in Music at the New England Conservatory in 2020, studying with bassists Cecil McBee and Dave Holland. He's performed with Wycliffe Gordon, Joel Frahm, Shelly Berg, Sigur Rós, and Wordless Music Orchestra. He's toured in the U.S. and played in the Czech Republic, Australia, Panama, Mexico, Switzerland, and China.

He's produced several jazz albums, most recently Blank with Color in 2023, which includes eight of his original compositions.

Admission: $5.00 at the door.
