Ben Folds, the power pop and alternative rock singer-songwriter best known for hits like "Rockin' the Suburbs," "The Luckiest," and "Don't Know Me," has been a force in music since 1988. A multi-instrumentalist from North Carolina, Folds rose to fame as the frontman of Ben Folds Five, the band behind tracks like "Brick" and "Song for the Dumped."
Though the band eventually disbanded, they reunited to release The Sound of the Life of the Mind. At the same time, Folds continued to evolve as a solo artist, even composing with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. Over the years, Folds collaborated with various artists, including Whiskeytown, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and William Shatner. His solo discography features Rockin' the Suburbs, Songs for Silverman, Way to Normal, What Matters Most, and his latest release, Sleigher.
