Cafe Eleven welcomes Black Uhuru in their listening room on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

Active since 1972, Black Uhuru is celebrated for crafting music that captures the essence of classic reggae, with tracks like “Sinsemilla,” “Sponji Reggae,” “Shine Eye Gal,” “Puff She Puff,” and “Utterance.” The group, featuring Derrick “Duckie” Simpson, Kaye Starh, and Andrew Bees, built a strong global presence, amassing over 355,000 followers and listeners across Spotify and other platforms.

Over the years, Black Uhuru performed alongside notable artists such as Shaggy and Sean Paul. Their achievements include eight Grammy Award nominations, with a win for their acclaimed album Anthem. They have also received the IRAMA Lifetime Achievement Award and were honored with the Key to the City of Las Vegas.

Their extensive discography includes Sinsemilla, Chill Out, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, Anthem, Brutal, Positive, Now, Iron Storm, Mystical Truth, Strongg, Dynasty, As the World Turns, and their latest release, New Day.

Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and a $5 fee will be charged at the door for those under 21.
