Gullah Geechee Corridor Summit

The southernmost section of the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor reaches from the Florida/Georgia border to just beyond St. Augustine. On Thursday and Friday, September 17 and 18, the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center hosts a summit to invite conversation, provide education, and create collaboration to build a strong future for this section of the historic corridor.

The event starts with the Gullah Table Experience on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy music, Gullah Geechee foods, and fellowship during the evening.

Friday, September 18, is billed as Voices of Preservation: Culture, Land, and Legacy. Participate in panel discussions and workshops, attend an artisan market, and enjoy a box lunch provided by the organizers. Green Legacy Farm and Nursery provides the food on both days.

The Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor

Established by the U.S. Congress in recognition of the unique culture of the Gullah Geechee people, the corridor runs from Northeast Florida up through Georgia and South Carolina, and ends just north of Wilmington, North Carolina. The U.S. National Park Service manages the programs and sites. The Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor is a 501(c)(3) organization that works to preserve, share, and interpret the Gullah Geechee's history, heritage sites, and cultural practices.
