Henry Rollins – Spoken Word
Saturday, January 14, 2017 | 8 p.m. at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall
The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents punk rock icon and Renaissance man Henry Rollins in a live “spoken word” performance on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 8 p.m.
Henry Rollins is “many things,” according to the Washington Post: “diatribist, confessor, provocateur, humorist, even motivational speaker.” He is known as a punk rock icon, a spoken word poet, an actor, and an author.
Rollins writes weekly columns for the LA Weekly and Rolling Stone Australia and also hosts a weekly radio show on NPR affiliate KCRW in L.A. His spoken word performances, which he calls “talking shows,” are a skillful blend of personal anecdote, pop culture, social commentary, and just plain outrage.
