The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Oates in a live concert on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Known for "Good Night and Good Morning," "I'm Sorry, "She's Gone," and "When the Morning Comes," John Oates is one-half of Hall & Oates, the best-selling rock duo of all time. However, he is also a solo artist. A member of both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Oates began singing almost as soon as he could talk and picked up the guitar at just five years old.
Born in New York City, he moved with his family to Philadelphia in the early 1950s. There, he was shaped by a wide range of influences, from the folk revival, Delta blues, ragtime guitar, and bluegrass, to the soulful sounds of Otis Redding, The Temptations, Curtis Mayfield, Sam & Dave, and Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. While attending Temple University, Oates crossed paths with Daryl Hall, and together they launched one of the most successful partnerships in popular music.
Over their legendary career, Hall & Oates recorded 21 albums and sold more than 80 million records, cementing their place as the most successful rock duo in history. Oates' discography includes Whole Oates, Abandoned Luncheonette, War Babies, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Bigger Than Both of Us, Beauty on a Back Street, Along the Red Ledge, X-Static, Voices, Private Eyes, H20, Big Bam Boom, Ooh Yeah! Change of Season, Marigold Sky, Do it for Love, Our Kind of Soul, and Home for Christmas.
