Cafe Eleven presents Remedy Tree on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 8:00 p.m.

Remedy Tree is an Americana and bluegrass band that channels the soulful spirit of old-time Appalachian music. Founded by lead vocalist Gabriel Acevedo, whose songwriting journey began in his youth, the band’s roots stretch back to a series of bluegrass projects Acevedo formed with his brother between 2008 and 2014. In the summer of 2015, Acevedo and his wife Abigail officially launched Remedy Tree.

The group began with a strong indie folk influence, but their sound took a defining turn with the addition of a banjo player, evolving into a dynamic bluegrass band. Today, Remedy Tree delivers performances that weave together elements of roots, Americana, bluegrass, and traditional old-time music. Their original songs reflect a rich blend of influences from artists like Old Crow Medicine Show, Mandolin Orange, and The Avett Brothers.

Remedy Tree has graced stages alongside bluegrass legends such as Ricky Skaggs, The Steeldrivers, Rhonda Vincent, Willi Carlisle, and Peter Rowan, performing at major festivals and intimate venues. In recognition of their rising presence in the bluegrass community, they were named an International Bluegrass Music Association Ramble Showcase Artist in 2023 and secured second place at the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America Band Competition in 2025.

Remedy Tree's discography includes Love the Journey.
