The St. Johns Cultural Council presents "Whispers of the Earth," an exhibit by artist Koo Hon, from Thursday, April 16, through Friday, May 29,  in the rotunda at the St. Johns County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 5:00, and is closed on all holidays.

About the Artist

Born in Malaysia, Koo Hon now lives in St. Johns County. She has been described as an "impressionist realism" artist, and she most often paints in oils. She has experience as a graphic designer, was influenced by old master works as a young person, and studied with several renowned artists.

Whether she paints scenes from this country or her home country, her art reflects her appreciation of nature and family. Koo has earned several awards, and one painting on display, "Bunnies in Quebec," was selected for the national juried art show in Montana in 2025. Her work is for sale at Butterfield Garage Art Gallery on King Street.
