Glory Tributes

Fun-loving tribute band that only covers songs by female artists

Based in Jacksonville, Glory Tributes (‘Glory’ for short) is a fun-loving cover band that specializes in songs by female artists. Their setlists are star-studded affairs — from dance pop songs from artists like P!nk and Rihanna to Rock n’ Roll classics by Joan Jett and Stevie Nicks. Glory promises to keep their audiences (women and men alike) on their feet all throughout their live shows.

Glory is committed to engaging and delighting their audiences — on and off stage. During the COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020, the good folks behind Glory were as antsy as the rest of us. They had time, talent, and a green screen. Thus,  the music video series ‘Glory Gems’ was born. In hopes of comforting and entertaining their online fanbase, the ‘girls of Glory’ released three tribute videos of familiar women-led songs. Since the end of lockdown, Glory has returned to stages within Northeast Florida.

Frontwoman Lisa Allen founded the group after a career in classic concertos and musical theater. She aimed to create a female tribute band that had style and marketability. Experienced live musician Magdalena ‘Maggie’ Velasquez is Glory’s other lead vocalist, providing harmonies and leading her own covers. Musicians in the band include bassist Mitch Bishop, drummer Bill Cain, keyboardist Keith Hall, and lead guitarist Steve Nesbit. Glory’s members all share a love of instrumentation and lively entertainment.
