Miranda Madison

Miranda Madison, vintage songstress performs songs that pay homage to a number of great women singers from the past.

Chanteuse Miranda Madison started singing and dancing at a young age, encouraged by her musician parents. Early in her career, she was the lead vocalist in a country and western band and paid tribute to some of country music's iconic women stars, such as Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, and Tammy Wynette.

Miranda's deep appreciation for acclaimed women singers from the past has led her to perform as a vintage songstress, paying homage to those who've been celebrated, such as Etta James, Ertha Kitt, and Billie Holiday, as well as to those who are largely forgotten, such as the Harlem Hamfats. While most of her songs are from the 40s and 50s, some are older and a few others are new songs written with an ear to days long past.

Miranda has performed as a solo act and with a guitarist, a jazz combo, or full orchestra. She shares a bit of musical history between songs, and sings with a clear, melodic voice that carries a hint of whiskey and the blues — creating the aura of a smoke-filled bar in the 30s and 40s.
